GARNET - JANUARY'S BIRTHSTONE

The name 'garnet' comes from the Latin word granatus, inspired by the vibrant red seeds of the pomegranate. This timeless stone has long been cherished as a symbol of vitality, passion, and protection.

Legends tell us that Noah illuminated the ark with a glowing garnet, guiding him through the long, dark nights of the flood. Ever since, garnets have been celebrated as gems of guidance, offering light and hope in times of uncertainty.

While the deep red garnet is the most iconic, today garnets are found in a dazzling array of colors:
- Tsavorite – a rare and radiant green garnet, prized for its brilliance and value.
- Spessartite – a fiery orange garnet, full of warmth and energy
- Rhodolite – a captivating purplish-red garnet, admired for its rich saturation.
- Demantoid – the rarest and most valuable of all garnets, a vivid green gem with extraordinary sparkle.

Even rare blue garnets add to this remarkable palette.
From fiery oranges to lush greens and regal purples, garnets embody both beauty and symbolism. As January’s birthstone, they are treasured not only for their striking colors but also for their enduring message of light, guidance, and renewal.
