Designer's note: Kame, the Japanese word for turtle, is a symbol of ‘Kumpira’ – the God for seafarers. Symbolizing perseverance & longevity, the Turtle a Japanese talisman is known to bring 10,000 years of good luck to the wearer. Fukusai-ji (福済寺) shire founded in 1628 and later destroyed in 1945, then reconstructed in the shape of a turtle, is my inspiration for Kame collection.
